i don't remember who said it but...basically in a "meta of tri color decks with bad manabase you should play a two color deck, and in a world of two color decks you should play mono color decks" while i disagree to some point, there is also no reason to run 3 colors if they don't provide an answer out of things....so with that i remodeled blue black as a test deck...

why its better than normal u/b:
1) has better tempo throughout the curve, mana leak -> liliana, keeper, batterskull, or wurmcoil is sweet. therefore punishes ppl for playing fast and loose vs. counter magic.
2) ability to fight rdw, u/r delver, uw delver, haunted humans. has early plays to interact consistently, with 9 removal spells cmc -2; 3 sweepers; 2 batterskulls, 2 keepers, 1 wurmcoil is nice vs. all aggro decks atm. Also disperse can be used on shrine from rdw or swords/destiny from haunted humans, and just kill spells vs. uw delver. also has 3 ghost quarter to fight moorland haunt which is pretty much HH best way to fight the deck.
3) SB can easily handle control/ramp type decks with 4 more counters and 4 delvers coming in for control and 2 counters + 2 liliana taking care of ramp.

new control deck runs 5 snapcasters FTW!!!
I know snapcaster is good and all but it's just impossible to run 5 lol

Hmm i like it looks like it could work a lot better for our meta. i wanted to switch to grixis but i just love ub sooo much heh. i think i oculd go with a few of these changes. no surgical extraction i nthe board? or did i miss that.

made some changses to the ub deck and it was pretty cool...had some nice temp and control elements to it:

so far these are the decks tested agaisnt...over all record is the following:
Haunted humans : 2 - 8 (test run 1)
the only games HH have won have been game 1 of both 5 game sets, lost all SB games
Wolf run ramp: 6-4 (test run 1)
6-2 (test run 2)
1-5 (test run 3)
all the games are really close, changed up my sb plan...hopefully works better now. after changing SB plan things went from bad to worse...maybe tried changing my game plan to much =/. the 2 games won on test day 2 where MB, so that appears to be fine...but SB is just a disaster. ima have to scrap this deck to the fnm pile if i can't make this match up better =/. Alright so, figured out the SB game, i took out two less cards, plus i found out drownyard is boss vs. wrr. test run #3 went 2-0 MD and 3-1 in SB games. that is a lot better. I'm do one more test run tomorrow before i can be totally happy, but i think it was a step in the right direction. Also, liliana is pretty good in the match up, sometimes i could get her to ulitmate just to kill off kessing wolf run/inkmoth nexus. i'll prolly test 3 phantsmal image next run over liliana and see which one does more work...plus i like the idea of image + bloodline keeper.

You don't need all of that vs HH. When I was playing against you, three cards went in: Tribute, Life's Finale, and Disperse. I know I took out one Think Twice. I think a Dissipate and maybe a Snappy? Anyway, those three cards did fine against you, so I wouldn't clog it up even more. Phantasmal Image doesn't help you at all, and Sorin's Thirst is okay....but pretty dead after a Sword or Destiny, and against Crusader and Hero.....so......the whole deck?

agree with you on the hh match up, basically i just wrote everything i want to test, I've been working on wrr alot today =/, i wrote about it under the long post, but basically i figured out the board i think, want another run through to make sure but last run through was u/b-5 and wrr - 1
so that is awesome. tonight when i get back from work i ma test the HH match up. unfortunate i don't have rdw to test against atm...cause if i can make those three match ups +50% wp i would play this deck so fast lol. also wouldn't mind testing u/w delver, but i have a feeling I'll SB a lot like i would vs. HH. for that match up.
