Solar flare...with Venser?
Greetings and salutations things are finally starting to become manageable at my new place of employment, and that means I get to play magic again! Here's what I've brewed up so far and please keep in mind I'm somewhat out of the loop.
Lands:26
3 darkslick shores
4 drowned catacomb
4 glacial fortress
4 isolated chapel
3 seachrome coast
3 plains
3 swamps
2 island
Creatures:9
1 elesh norn
2 grave titan
2 phantasmal image
2 snapcaster mage
2 sun titan
Planeswalkers:6
2 Liliana
2 gideon
2 venser

2 dismember
2 doomblade

Basically I just tried to slam as many win conditions as possible without sacraficing survivability and not leaving myself open to a surgical extraction blowout. I like venser in this deck because I think he actually gives the deck a little more conisistancy if you can't find an answer through conventional means you're only a bounce away. I ran divination instead of think twice because I feel 2 cards is generally going to be more beneficial late game and in conjunction with snapcaster mage I definatly think 4 cards for 6 is better than 2 cards for 5. I opted not to run counter magic in favor of straight up removal because I think it pairs a little better with the mage and I have so much potential reccurence I just didn't feel mana leak had what it took to get the nod. Please let me know what you guys think this is still a rough draft and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You're running forbidden alchemy, but not unburial rites? Half the reason you run that card is to play from your grave yard for 4 mana and drop a bomb. Also, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur is a sick side board card. You chuck him in your graveyard and unburial rites him for the win!

I agree with the Think Twice. Also, Rune-Scarred Demon is legit in Solar Flare. Try him out!

after playing solar flare for an entire week, i have a couple comments:
1) the deck is awesome, had a HUGE comeback factor
2) Venser imo, had no home here, you are only playing 7-9 creatures, and they dont really need to be bouncing around to get them to break
3) 6-0ing manteca with this deck was awesome...thou i got called all kinds of name for playing the deck.
