Thinking of going pure valakute

Yeah, turn 4 Prime T, turn 5 Karn, game over

hmmm just to be the community freak, i'd recommend the following changes if i can:

+ 4 lotus cobra (if you got them)
+ 4 khalni Heart Expedition
+ 4 misty rain forest
+ 1 valakut


- 3 comet storm ( move to sideboard if needed)
- 2 green sun zenith
- 1 slagstorm
- 1 chandra
- 1 random goody

-4 rootbound crag
-1 raging revine

Also, you generally want 8 threats which makes your deck a 1 in 7 chance of hitting a fatty...hence summoning trap =). Another note, really need a 4 of pyroclasm in the 75 somewhere. i'd put the comet storms in SB they are really only going to do u justice in games were counterspells are not relvent. 2x Stagger shock 2x Asceticism 2x lavaball Trap could all be cut for 4 pyro and 2 comet storms if you wanted.

*main changes are make sure you have 8 fatties ( 4 prievils and a mix of inferno titan, avenger, and wormcoil)

* get some cheap sweepers in the 75...nothing more embarrassing then getting blown out by the red event deck lol

are 4 valakuts really that vital?

they are very nice depending on the tier of the deck your fighting. tier 1 decks will usually be able to shut off 1-2 of them a game. if nothing else drop a forest if you really want to run 27 lands. but usually 28 lands are recommanded with it split like this :

6 forests
12 mountains
4 misty rainforest
4 valakuts
2 terrmorphic expanse

Run four. Play test it. Jason is right. 28 Lands are the way to go with that deck.

Well i'll try it but i need someone to play test with, anyone have the free time to help me out?
I have class Tusday and Wenesday 6-10 so i wont able to at those times, but if someone wants to pull a nighter im open to that.
