I like your list as well! How has it been working for you? Do you feel it does justice to the Tempered Steel style?

its been working out pretty well haha red deck gives me a bit a grief if i dont get a turn 2 or 3 tempered steel but its not a terrible match up! im usually fine vs twin and valakut.

That's kinda how I saw it working out. It's an all-in if you so choose, but at the same time, you can go mid range and start Tezzeret up. 7/7 or higher is hard to answer, let alone, they're artifact, so the removal choices are limited.

Things I've noticed about the deck so far, dismember is a giant pain in this decks buttocks. There were a couple times where Andy either made something a 5/5 and I just dismembered it after, or if he had tempered steel in play I could just dismember in response. Its hard to say that Tezzeret doesn't fit in the deck, making small dudes huge is what tempered steel wants to do. I think what Andy and I noticed is that sometimes the tempo just isn't right. Lots of time he just didn't have a turn 3 spell, and when Tezz would land, he wouldn't have enough creatures to make him impact the board, or he would not have dealt enough damage to put me near lethal.

So far the deck is powerful, and can really make tempered steel even more abusive, but it has the opportunity to get clunky or a mana issue. Anyways cool deck idea, I look forward to playing a finalized deck-list. Very Happy

Yea Rusch is right. Clunky is right. However It is fun and when mana flooding isn't a problem the deck is dangerous. Play testing it more that early game jump that this deck can do is awsome. Just wish i can make some room for draw cards. If yous guys have any idea on builds that might fix the problem let me know.

I think because of the land situation, the only way to have ti be right is to play dangerously. Meaning you main deck Tezzeret's Gambit. This doesn't sound too crazy, but I'm thinking you play it for life 9/10. It gets you the draw you need, and can come as early as turn 3. The other option that has just recently come out is Ponder! woo woo

so i cut tezzeret and it has really helped the deck out a lot. i am a huge fan of this hawkward/tempered steel archetype that is rising up. here is a list that i think is what you are looking for. it is very aggressive and shrugs off dismembers and has the draw power you are looking at. it is very resilient!

the list i have made with tezzeret cut is here...although this is just version 2.0.

i will keeping making changes to the deck until its right! i think david shields list is onto to something for sure
