RUG control Empty RUG control

just brewing here, thought i'd share some lists...after bashing it for a few hrs thought i'd lay a list out + see if i can beat the meta on paper.

RUG control/aggro:

Creatures: 10
3 mayor of avabrke
3 Day Break Ranger
4 bird of paradise

spells: 24
4 think twice
4 mana leak
4 disisapte
3 sword of feast and famine
1 dismember
4 beast within
3 green sun zenith

lands:
4 hinterland harbor
4 copperline gorge
4 sulfer falls
6 forest
2 mountain
6 island

something like this, goal is to get out a early daybreak ranger/ delver and pass then on your turn you just leave counter magic up and do whatever on their turn while flipping your own guy...

optimal plays
T1- birds of paradise
T2 - day break ranger
T3 - pass (flipping day break + mana leak/counter/kill on their turn)
T4 - play and equip sword, and ride to victory!!!! BTW this is just as fast as caw blade.....

or :
T-1 bird
T-2 land pass and leak something
T-3 Thurn
T-4 play and equip thurn!

made some changes, decided delver was really bad in this deck, didn't do what i wanted. but mayor seems like a better fit, casue you can play it turn 2, flip turn 3 and just counter everything. also increased the island count to better cast my counters.

I dig the versatility. How consistent has 4 dissipate been with that mana base? I've haven't played enough with mana-producing creatures so I don't know how much they help with spells like that.
Have you considered Beast Within? Actually, now that I think about it, it might disrupt your transformed Daybreak Ranger a bit, unless there happened to be a situation where you really wanted to transform him back.

2 consecrated sphinx
1 thrum
4 snap aster
2 viridian emissary
2 Garrick relent
2 incinerate
2 slagsrom
2 beast within
2 brimstone illy
4 mana le
4 think twice
4 dissipate
1 blasphemous act
2 geistglame
1 divination
1 naturalize

4 gorge
3 forest
4 harbor
4 falls
5 island
2 root bound crag
1 mountain
1 kessig

Would have normally format correctly but I'm on my phone. The decks awesome I kind of want to cut slagsrom and thrum for 2 inferno Titan and 1 frost.
And what not. The decks awesome beats mono black mono red ad Mage blade not sure on solar flare

UB says "come at me, bro" to all of these lists. Hahaha! But in an aggro-centric meta (Manteca) I think this has some strong potential. I think any deck looking to utilize Daybreak Ranger should be running Beast Within. Those two cards have amazing board control. Ranger flipped deals with almost any creature, and Beast Within turns anything too big, or not a creature, into a bite-sized piece for out werewolf friend. Also, Geistflame is really legit. You will want it.

So here are some suggestions I would make:
-4 Shock
-1 Dissipate (four is a bit excessive in this kind of deck. This isn't permission!)
-1 Sword
+2 Geistflame
+2 Slagstorm
+2 Beast Within

Also, I would suggest Ponder over Think Twice here, as it reliably allows you to flip Delver of Secrets. I know you are going for the whole instant speed draw thing, but you really want to flip Delver reliably in this deck.

Rug has always been a favorite, specialy since I live in arrgo-central (manteca). Before pod was so, so fun. But with the daybreaks and snapcaster I see rug breaking threw into the meta hard.

possible sb plan:
3 thurn the last troll (vs. ub control)
4 giestflame (tokens, k-red, mono blade infect)
2 negate (vs. ub control)
2 jace memory adapt (vs. ub control)
2 sword of war and peace (white.deck)
2 rachet bomb (tokens, kred)
